I was watching Friends, the episode where Rachael thinks Joey asked her to marry him. (screwball.) Anyway, they're at the coffee house &Joey is apologising to Ross for letting her believe it. With hand quotation marks he goes : "I'm Sorry!" And Ross says "You're not doing it right, Joe." So, Joey does smaller quotes and whispers "I'm sorryy." Reminds me of Mary! "Diary's" without possession.. oh, how many more I could list! But I wasted enough of my precious time. (ALSO, diary's wouldn't work anyway. Because it can't work in singular possession (because there isn't one, it's just diary) and if it was plural, it'd be diaries'.)
